I’m not quite sure I understand this article. Can I buy RCI Points directly from RCI OR does RCI simply let me exchange points I may have from an existing timeshare that I own. e.g. WorldMark? When I looked at the RCI website they only talk about “exchanging” points, which leaves me with the impressions is that they are simply an exchange service but that they don’t sell “points” similar to what WorldMark does.
No, you don’t buy RCI Points from RCI. You buy a resort ownership that has RCI points attached to it and then you can use those points in the RCI Points system. Basically they are used for exchanges. Worldmark works completely differently. They are their own point system and have their own resorts. RCI itself does not own resorts. They are basically an affiliation membership.
