As an owner of the DVC, you can also choose to use your DVC points to vacation on the Disney Cruise Line and tour Europe through Disney, so you have a world of opportunities waiting for you. Other benefits of joining Disney Vacation Club are extended hours at the theme parks when you stay at one of the Resorts; discounts on restaurants, spa treatments, attractions, and special events like the Pirates & Princesses Parties or Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. There's also a substantial discount on annual passes. And like all Disney guests, you'll have free resort guest transportation between theme parks or back to your resort for a nap. And don't forget pool hopping! When you are staying at a DVC resort, you'll be able to use your Keys to the Kingdom card to visit pools at some of the other DVC villas too.
The resort villas are available in 1-3 bedrooms, depending on your needs and include many amenities. Most villas come with full size kitchens and living rooms, private balconies, whirlpool tubs, DVD players and movies, and much more. You can swim in the gleaming swimming pools, get a workout in the fitness centers, or relax in a nearby spa. There are also plenty of activities for the children, including a parent's night out.
With most of the Disney Vacation Club properties officially sold out, the only way to get older resorts like Old Key West, Boardwalk Villas or the Beach Club is to buy them from a former owner. You can sometimes find pretty good resale deals on DVC on auction and occasionally even the resorts that Disney is still officially selling become available for resale -- such as Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom Villas.
